Q. I saw the ABC alarm commercial and the shield on tv. Aren't they bigger / better than you?
A. They are different. The services we provide are personal to you and takes your needs into account. The larger companies have to prioritize the bottom line. There are countless stories about a homeowner seeing several different repairmen over the course of several days. Each one clueless when they arrive, and clueless when they leave. Employees and managers are often pressured to get jobs completed. We have seen many cases where completed does not mean operational or repaired. We have taken over many dissatisfied "big box" company accounts.
Q. What are Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detectors and what is their importance?
A. Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless and poisonous gas which is produced when fuels containing carbon are burned where there is too little oxygen and when fuels are burned at too high temperatures. CO (carbon monoxide) is poisonous when inhaled. Many deaths occur each year when CO gas escapes from stoves and furnaces where ventilation is improperly regulated. Gas and CO detectors test how many PPM ( Parts Per Million) are in the air, and compares them to acceptable levels. The alarm will then go off and alert you to the rising levels. We offer both detectors, as well as a full line of environmental alarms.
Q. I have pets. Can I still have a motion detector?
A. Usually. It depends on the size of the pet and the location of the motion detector.
Q. What happens if I lose power in my home?
A. Your system has a battery back up that will kick in as soon as the power goes off. The battery can last anywhere from 12-36 hours, and will begin recharging as soon as the power is restored.
